Darryl’s Den is a inclusive, friendly Arts and Craft Studio that provides people with disability access to quality instructors, equipment, resources and materials.
Experienced, supportive staff take into consideration the varying abilities and needs of their participants. They also assist in developing participants’ current arts and craft abilities as well as exploring new techniques and building new skills.
Structured art classes or tailored individual projects are on offer.
The aim is to help people complete art work and craft items to a high standard. Participants are encouraged to view their art practice in a professional manner to produce work that is good enough to be sold through arts and craft markets if they wish to do so.
The studio features a fully equipped wheelchair accessible Art Studio and Woodwork Room with adaptive equipment and approaches available to suit each individual’s needs. A light filled studio space with large indoor and outdoor workspaces offers a large range of materials and equipment.
A minimum 3 hour session is suggested to allow enough work time. Projects and classes can be discussed to the suit individual’s needs and goals.
